Beschreibung der Arbeit:

There are multiple different approaches to simulate processor architectures and determine certain nonfunctional properties. The gem5 simulator allows to configure the microarchitecture to conform to real processors and provides a cycle accurate simulation for the given configuration. On the other hand, the Sniper simulator only supports x86 processors but uses interval simulation to increase the simulation performance. In this thesis, a comparison of the two simulators in terms of configurability should be done.
