"Out Of The Box" Award at MEMSYS'17

The paper "Memristive Voltage Divider: A Bipolar ReRAM-based Unit for Non-Volatile Flip-Flops" by Mehrdad Biglari and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Fey has won the "Out Of The Box" award at the Third International Symposium on Memory Systems (MEMSYS 2017) held in Alexandria, VA, USA.

Opening of the SDI Lab

On 07.03.2017 the SDI-Lab (Software Defined Inverter) was opened. It is a joint project of the chair and Siemens. Further information can be found on the webpage of the lab.

Close Cooperation with the HSA Foundation

The Chair of Computer Architecture is now member in the "HSA Academic Centers of Excellence" of the HSA (Heterogeneous System Architecture) Foundation. In a joint project with the "Embedded Systems Group" of TU Darmstadt and the chip manufacturer AMD, the chair members Marc Reichenbach and Konrad Häublein are focusing on a faster and better integration of FPGAs into heterogeneous systems. As a final milestone an FPGA-prototype is developed, which holds a custom designed processor and an image processing accelerator unit and will be able to compute HSA-packets.
